Hurricane Irma

Threatens the lives of thousands of children

The most powerful hurricane ever recorded in Atlantic Ocean has affected millions of people in its path.

Hundreds of thousands of children need urgent help to survive the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean islands, the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Cuba.

Unicef is racing against the clock to respond to this emergency before it is too late. Supplies of drinking water, unperishable food and medicines, and emergency kits will be distributed among families. However, the level of destruction can be unpredictable and the needs may increase in the upcoming days. Life-saving supplies would make a big difference to communities trying to survive this davastating storm and its aftermath.
